Tempus Deorum Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
Tempus Deorum is made by Fuzzy Code Studio LLC, a one-person studio. This policy explains what the game and its servers collect, why, who else sees it, how long it is kept, and what you can do about it. If you have any questions, write to contact@fuzzycodestudio.com.
What we collect
Your account
If you sign in with Steam: your Steam ID, which links your Steam account to your game account.
If you sign up with an email address: your email address, a username and your password. Your password is stored only as a secure hash (bcrypt), never as readable text. If you turn on two-factor sign-in, we store its secret. We also create short-lived codes to verify your email or reset your password.
Account details, such as your number of character slots and your subscription status.
Signing in and security
When you sign in, we record your IP address, a device identifier, the game version and whether the sign-in succeeded. We use this to protect accounts and stop abuse.
Your characters and the world
Your characters, their names and progress, items, buildings, clans and land claims. This is the game itself.
Chat
Every chat message in the game is recorded, including whispers, with the sender, the character, where and when it was sent, and, for whispers, who it was sent to. Chat records are used only for moderation and player safety. No game system reads them.
The Vigil Stone
A note you leave at the Vigil Stone is shown to other players and stays up permanently, even through world resets. That is its purpose. Notes are anonymous unless you choose to sign them, but we keep a record of which account wrote each note, for moderation. You can remove your note at any time.
The Gray Robed Stranger (optional)
She is the one character in the game who speaks using AI. You can read about who she is, and why she is here, on our AI in Tempus Deorum page.
If you choose to talk with her:
What you say and what she replies are stored so she can remember you.
She also keeps notes from your conversations: summaries, her diary, her sense of your relationship, and things she notices coming up again and again, such as a subject you often return to. She uses these only in her conversations with you.
Your messages, and the memories she needs to reply, are sent to an outside AI service to write her replies and her notes. Each reply also passes a safety check before you see it.
Safety-check results are recorded for moderation.
Please don't share private details such as your real address, phone number or passwords with her, or with anyone in the game.
What we don't collect
The game contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Payments are handled by Steam. We never see your card details.
Who else sees your data
Valve (Steam): sign-in and purchases, under the Steam Privacy Policy.
OpenRouter, an AI routing service, and the AI model provider it sends each request to: only your conversations with the Gray Robed Stranger and the memories needed for her replies. We only allow providers that do not store your conversations or use them to train AI models.
Our hosting provider, which runs our game servers.
Our email provider, which sends verification and password-reset emails.
Authorities, only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Your account and characters: while your account exists.
Sign-in records: 90 days.
Chat and moderation records: 12 months.
Vigil Stone notes: for as long as the note stands. If you remove your note or delete your account, the note is taken down at once and kept in a private archive for 180 days for moderation, then deleted.
The Gray Robed Stranger's memories: while the character exists. If you delete a character, her memories of that character are removed from her and kept in a private archive for 180 days for moderation, then deleted. You can ask us to erase them sooner at any time.
Your choices and rights
You never have to talk with the Gray Robed Stranger.
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything tied to it, including archived memories and your Vigil Stone note. Write to contact@fuzzycodestudio.com with your character name and either your account email or your Steam ID, so we can find your account. We will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may have further rights over your data. We honor these requests for every player, wherever you live.
Children
Tempus Deorum is not intended for children under 13, or under 16 in the EU without a parent's consent, because it has open chat and an AI character. If we learn that we hold data from a child under that age, we delete it.
Security
We protect your data with reasonable measures, including hashed passwords and signed sign-in tokens. No online system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use anywhere else.
Our website
This website is hosted on Google Sites. Google may collect information about your visit under the Google Privacy Policy.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will announce it in the game and on Steam.
